Silver touches Rs 53,536/kg on firm demand From http://news.indiamart.com/story/silver-touches-rs-53536kg-firm-demand-165776.html NEW DELHI: Silver prices rose 0.24% to Rs 53,536 per kg at the futures market due to the jump in spot demand for the festive season amid firm international trend. At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver for delivery in September climbed by Rs 127 in a business turnover of 3,694 lots. The December silver rose Rs 103 or 0.19% to Rs 55,294 per kg in 210 lots. Market analysts stated that besides from a strong global trend, rise in demand in the spot market drove the prices of silver at futures market. In Singapore, silver climbed 0.6% to $28.20 an ounce.
